My Ayurvedic Journey
My path to Ayurveda has been one of gradual discovery - a weaving together of lifelong interests, personal healing, and a deepening connection to the natural world.
I first came across Ayurveda while travelling in Sri Lanka. I was already immersed in yoga and had a longstanding interest in holistic health, growing up in a family where herbs and natural remedies were the first line of care. Ayurveda immediately sparked something in me - it felt like a deep remembering. I started listening to podcasts and reading whatever I could, following that intuitive pull.
A couple of years later, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called uveitis following a life trauma, which led to significant vision loss in my left eye. When conventional medicine couldn’t offer lasting solutions, I found myself returning to the principles of Ayurveda - not just as a curiosity this time, but as a path to healing.
As life would have it, the right course appeared at the right time, and I began training as an Ayurvedic practitioner. I applied everything I was learning to my own life - adjusting my daily routines, herbs, food, and lifestyle - and, slowly, my vision returned. More than that, I felt myself come back into balance on a much deeper level.
Since then, Ayurveda has become the foundation of how I live and how I support others. I weave it together with my knowledge of plant medicine, my reverence for the Earth, and my love of working with the seasons and cycles of nature.
